Prediction: We are increasingly going to see red states just openly defy the law. Don't like an order from the president? Just ignore it. Don't like a court order or ruling? Just ignore it. Don't like a law? Ignore it.


Why not? It's not like there are any consequences.

4. Are his employees even covered?

I work at a government agency (school system) which employs well over 100 and we aren't covered. I can see that law enforcement might be different than education but honestly not all that different in terms of the law.

8. All federal funds for your county will now be shut off

You don't want to play by the rules. That's fine.

1. The county will no longer receive any federal funds for roads, police officers, or schools.

2. The University of Tennessee (located in you r county) should now have to forfeit all funds from the DoD, NIH, NSF. They will also no longer be allowed to issue Pell Grants.

3. All Federal Title 1 and Title 2 monies allocated to any school in your county will also be shut off.

4. All hospitals in Knox County that receive any funding for research dollars form the US Goverment (understanding that U Tennessee is a major research institution associate with the hospital)

Go ahead and secede. When the University bounces paychecks let's see how long you stay sheriff.

And off topic. This new build back better bill should have A law saying the red states can’t use the funds to close their deficits or give tax cuts to the rich. The money should be spend the way it was allocated for THE PEOPLE!
