Teaching students about structural racism has become a political flashpoint across the country. Here's my interview with one of Virginia's leading activists, Patti Hidalgo Menders -- a mother of six who's fighting the state's equity and inclusion curriculum. Via @Sho_theCircus:

I can see why certain people would rather talk about bigotry than racism, but let's not pretend that racism doesn't exist. Construct or not.

in science journals in the last 20 years and find that the term "race" is invalid. There are more genetic variations within the so-called races than between them. Here is what Anthropologist says.

If you accept science, bigotry is the proper term as that does exist.

Race does not exist, unless you are talking about cars and athletes.

Perhaps you can define race. What race was Obama, is a great place to start.

For decades the far-right has been targeting local and state elections to increase their national political influence, running candidates in rural statehouse seats, county government, school boards, even library boards. Critical race theory is their Panic of the Moment, used to rally support among their moron base.
