She's 11. I am okay with mandates, but not until the vaccine is fully approved by the FDA. (So probably for next school year.) We need time for people to fall in place/fall in line.

ETA: I live in a highly vaccinated community and every single parent I know can't wait to get their kids vaccinated. But I know people in more underserved neighborhoods who are more hesitant and want to see how it plays out. I get it. We need gentle convincing and numbers to go down. Not immediate mandates next week. I think most people will come around and the vaccines will be normal for most school years. It'll come. But we need to be a little patient, especially since numbers are coming down nationwide.

They need to follow participants for 2 years?

Will approval take 2 years?
