What will emerge from the prison cells of the insurrectionist??

I keep thinking how history would have been better served if Hitler had served decades or even life in his prison cell. Hitler was found guilty of treason and sentenced to five years in Landsberg Prison, where he dictated Mein Kampf to fellow prisoners Emil Maurice and Rudolf Hess. On 20 December 1924, having served only nine months, Hitler was released.

Who or what will come out of those who are being sentenced today?
