Garland rule on Bannon yet?

The weekend is here. Taking this long for low hanging fruit gives us little hope for speedy decisions for subpoenaed former Trump officials.

I would not be shocked if Garland came back to the committee and told them to pursue his subpoena in civil courts.

Ehh, maybe Bannon is already sitting in front of a grand jury. We don't know what we don't know.

5. Nope, both Republican and Democratic midterm caucuses

are set for February 7, 2022. The conventions that follow aren’t on March 1, either. Nor is there’s any March 1 vote listed on the Secretary of State’s website.

2. If Garland has not, or if Bannon is secretly sitting in front of a grand jury, the lack

of information about how the contempt for Congress is being handled emboldens others to show contempt and dilutes the rule of law.

Rule of law is just an agreement we all share. If high-profile people are seen thumbing their noses at it without consequences, it shows others that they can do the same.
