They are trying to get it to go viral as code for F#%k Joe Biden.
Isnt that adorable.

(448 posts)Luckily us democrats hold ourselves to a much higher standard of discord. They are acting this way because their ideas and beliefs are so weak in comparison to our own.

(32,075 posts)This is just another "own the libs" stunt. Getting pissed off about their juvenile games just feeds into it. Got to treat them like the ninnies they are.

(448 posts)Better than them. Our truths are magnitudes more powerful than their insults. Quietly correct their clueless beliefs so they can see the error of their ways. That aggression they are showing now is rooted in the frustration that they have lost the argument

(9,041 posts)Let's Go Brandon has been floating all over the Internet for almost a month now.
It's been on the Right since it happened, but even non-Right people have been saying it. Generally in a childish, sneaky, subversive, "Hee, we can get away with this," sort of thing. It gets chanted at sports events. Two top songs on itunes are about it. It's a complete meme now.
For whatever reason, people think it's funny.
Is this a Bubble thing? I swear this is like the fifth or sixth OP I saw over the weekend discovering this. Guys, it's been everywhere for quite some time. Step outside the daily reading once in awhile.

(972 posts)I saw two pumpkins at separate houses carved last night that said "Let's Go Brandon". I was also over my brother's house last weekend and was watching my nephew play this game. In the chat there were people typing "Let's Go Brandon". I asked him if he knew what that meant and he did. He's middle school though so not really too surprising there.

(9,041 posts)I've actually been waiting for it to die. Kind of played out now. But as the poster above pointed out, kids like it, too. I have the same experience. While gaming, people will throw it in chat. Because it provokes people, and it's not technically against a game's ToS. It gets past any kind of language filter. So if you want to be psuedo edgy (read: annoying), it's now a go to.
When some asshole representative from Florida said it on the House floor, I rolled my eyes. Congratulations, Republicans. You are now as mature as a teenage boy playing Call of Duty. Can't wait for, "Your mom!" during a Medicare debate.

(14,488 posts)If they post "Let's Go Brandon", you post "Let's Go Biden" in response, or better yet post "Let's Go Biden" first before they get a chance. Unfortunately, I can't participate in social media, so I can't help.
I believe that would take most of the wind out of their sails because our chant has real, direct meaning and has a similar ring.
I review a lot of YouTube news videos and right-wing trolls are like flies on shit below every video. They need some counter responses.

(3,689 posts)"Let's go..." is the call of a pedophile hooping to lure and sequester a youngster.
In human talk, "Let's go Brandon" means "I am a nasty pervert."

(3,293 posts)Coming right out and saying what we mean often requires the courage of our convictions, so instead they just cower behind plausible deniability to avoid consequence.
