(4,190 posts)The ads were mostly about boner pills, crypto currency and gambling. Basically the contents of your spam folder.

(25,258 posts)Keep them guessing...
They get all lot of those numbers from services like Been Verified. So I got one from a Republican campaign for a district in which I don't live. It said, "Hi John..."...Well, I'm not John...
So I put my phone number in Been Verified....It says that the number is associated with John GXXXX at an address in that district...Then, I start getting text messages and phone numbers wanting to buy my home at that address...LOL

(25,258 posts)I'm on a bunch of those email lists. Could have been a typo by a Trump supporter, sloppy handwriting by a Trump support etc.
Could have been one of those silly, "What do you really think about Trump" data mining polls or any of those data mining polls from a Republican. Could have been a spamming random email generator thing.

(4,552 posts)I got emails from Trump and also from Hillsdale College via Conservative Direct.
I unsubscribed each one, marked as spam and crossed my fingers thats the last I hear of that crap. Not sure how I got on the list. But this email address where they came to me is the one connected to my Facebook account.
That could explain it.
As an aside, I actually find my Facebook account useful and trying to replace the functionality it currently offers me would be difficult. But, I would welcome another community-based bulletin board utility if it was adopted by the same people with whom I connect on Facebook. Facebook needs regulation, agreed.

(14,624 posts)I think its because I signed up for tickets to several of his KKK rallies during the 2020 campaign. Tickets to rallies that I had no intention of attending.
Maybe twitter in 2020?
I don't really remember.
