Iowa teens charged with murder of Spanish teacher

Two Iowa teenagers have been charged with murdering a local Spanish teacher after police discovered incriminating social media posts.

Nohema Graber, 66, was found dead in a park in the city of Fairfield, several hours after being reported missing, authorities said.

Police say the suspects posted details of the killing, efforts to hide it and a possible motive to social media.

The teenagers, both 16, will be tried as adults for the murder.

According to court documents, Ms Graber had been reported missing on Wednesday morning.

Police later discovered her body at Chautauqua Park in Fairfield, a city of just over 9,000 people located 150km (95 miles) from the state capital, Des Moines. She had been known to frequent the park.

Early investigations suggested she had suffered "trauma to the head", the documents show. Ms Graber's body was found hidden under a tarpaulin, wheelbarrow and railway sleepers.

Authorities say a tip led them to social media exchanges and posts which showed that the two teenagers, Willard Noble Chaiden Miller and Jeremy Everett Goodale, had "specific details" about Ms Graber's disappearance and murder.

1. So weird: Motive not known yet; her children "forgiving".

Unless she is revealed to be a monster, what does the family know to "forgive" a scant couple of days after?

Besides that, FOR ME, the "forgive" is just not a thing, not to mention apologies. The original wrong can't be fixed, whether by apology or reparation - talking generally here. Repeating, FOR ME, so anybody disagreeing/disapproving, FOR ME.

2. People who "forgive first" are simply releasing themselves from the hatred that consumes the soul.

What the offender does or does not do, isn't the point.

Justice can still be sought. Motive discovered and yet, nothing can repair or replace the person lost.

So to forgive is to let God or the system take care of revenge and let the perps reap what they sowed without being the instrument of their destruction.

Especially if the person was especially kind and loving, it makes sense not to go batshit crazy on their behalf especially when the only thing that could make anything "better" can not possibly happen.

Spending time honoring who their family member was and taking time to grieve doesn't get hijacked by getting side tracked by a$$holes who had nothing better to do with their time than to murder someone randomly.

Now the REST of US getting angry on their behalf is probably a good idea. To not let them get away with it.

But the family doesn't need to give those perps anything more than what they have already taken.
