Recording in a polling place - isn't this illegal?

I thought it was illegal to make audio or video recordings in polling places, is this correct? This is why you always see the media camped out outside the polling places, not inside.

If so, couldn't O'Keefe also be prosecuted for this?

I know it's illegal in many areas...guess it depends whether it was illegal in New Hampshire.

As long as you do not interview the voter before they vote.

O'Keefe's friends are guilty of voter fraud by misrepresenting themselves as some dead person.

Videotaping or recording is illegal in Texas and I think in Florida (I was on the Kerry Edward voter protection team in 2004 and remember this being discussed). I trained my county party's poll watchers and you have to turn off or disable any phoe that has a camera on it.

In MD, I was told that electronic devices, including video cameras, were not permitted in the polling area because they might cause interference with the electronic voting machines. If that's true, then this provides an obvious way to rig the outcome -- just walk into districts that are statistically likely to vote the "wrong" way, and turn on an RFI source. Random noise is not likely to favor any candidate, so replacing recorded votes with noise will render that location's votes ineffective. If the votes are obviously corrupted, then they will be thrown out, again nullifying the results from that location.l
