Alex Jones Says His Orders for the January 6th Insurrection Came from Trump

The subpoena for Alex Jones was especially revealing. It provided a detailed account of his complicity with Trump in his attempted coup. For instance, the subpoena affirmed that Jones stated that...

"...the White House told you on or about January 3, 2021, that after the Ellipse rally ended on January 6th, you were to lead a march to the Capitol, where President Trump would meet the group [...] and to gather on the east side of the Capitol to hear President Trump speak."

This is not a speculative assertion by the Committee. There is video evidence of Jones stating that his actions were being directed by the Trump administration. Jones said that...

"The White House told me three days before, we're gonna have you lead the march. The Secret Service, before Trump finishes thirty minutes before, will lead you to point, take you out of the front row, and lead you to the place where they want you to start the march. And Trump will tell people 'Go, and I'm gonna meet you at the Capitol.'"

57. This is the reveal stage

As the miscreants all turn on each other, we find out many facts we wouldn’t have known otherwise. They will try to out-trump (if you’ll pardon the phrase) each other to see who can tell the most secret of details.

And the longer Trump stays free and enriches himself from their incarceration, the more angry and abandoned they will feel from being thrown under the bus.

2. Trump himself guided the actions on January 6th.

He set it all in motion months before and reiterated several times in various media that his followers should go there on that day. Why that day? Because that was the day they were counting the votes and he wanted to disrupt it. The planning was probably done by several different people who all reported to Trump. He chose not to go down to the Capitol and went to the White House to watch it unfold. He probably was getting communication the whole time about what was happening. Finally, when it was obvious that his mission had failed, he asked everyone to leave.

37. I've often wondered about Trump on mic promising

to go with them to the Capitol. And he obviously had a "plan" (deception) to do that. Or did he? Did he always think and know he wouldn't go down there. That car WAS waiting for him.

I think this single act is under-reported. Don't his followers realize what a chickenshit move that was? ( rhetorical question). To me, this single act of deception implies guilt to the max.

Someone with a million followers on Twitter should start the question, 'hey Trump why did you abandon your followers, Chickenshit?"

For sure the Secret Service guys wouldn't have allowed it, but I doubt if Chump was even interested. After he gave the speech outside the WH he rushed inside to watch it all unfolding on TV. That was his plan all along.

39. Yes, someone should have asked him that long ago.

I don't think he ever intended on going down there. He was trying to hedge his bets by keeping some distance between himself and the crime.

He knew they were going to break in there. It was the plan all along to have some people in the crowd who would break in and steal the ballots. They were looking for them in Pelosi's office and Clyburn's office and some others. I'm not sure what they planned to do with any Congressmen or Senators they found, or with Pence. There were some who apparently wanted to harm at least a few of them. I'm not sure how far their plans went in that direction.

I think Trump had troops on standby to declare some sort of emergency. But he knew the plan had flaws, which is why he wanted some distance between himself and the action, and he wanted plausible deniability for his involvement in planning the whole thing.

There were a lot of hands in the pot with regard to the planning of the insurrection. No doubt some in Congress were involved, and I think the committee knows who most of them were and have either gotten their phone records or are getting them. They're all very nervous right now, which is why Cawthorn and Gaetz and Greene and some others are really getting vocal these days. It's why Carlson is turning up the volume on his show, too. It's all coming to a head. We're going to see some action up there soon, I think.

45. Yes, it didn't go the way Jones was expecting it to.

Roger Stone or maybe a few people told Alex what was supposed to happen and I think he went down there expecting Trump to lead the people in some sort of protest. I've seen video of Alex there at the Capitol before everything went to hell, and he looked like something was off, like he was expecting something different. He figured out he was a pawn in the whole plan, and that's when he got out of the way. I'm not sure what they told him was going to happen, but he figured out that he was misinformed.

I'd like to get Jones's true testimony on what he was told vs. what happened that day. I don't know if that's possible, though, even if he were given some sort of immunity. We're talking about Alex Jones here, and his idea of reality is pretty skewed on a normal day. I think he was a true believer in Trump, though.

I had a friend who used to watch Alex Jones's show every day, and I used to watch it with him sometimes. It could be interesting sometimes, although I couldn't tolerate all that yelling for too long. He really believed in Trump, though, I think, and it looks like that faith has been shaken. He thought there was going to be a big change in America that day, and saw his hopes dashed. He's got a story to tell, if we can ever get it out of him.

48. Yes! I was just reading an interesting article about Stockton

and his girlfriend Lawrence. They have both been subpoenaed. Never realize that there was a lot of infighting before the event. They all wanted to be the driving force. But Stockton and Lawrence are interesting figures for sure they weren't even there and they are mad that they put in all this effort and haven't gotten anything out of it. Supposedly they say they're going to tell the truth to the commission.

Why when you think about it, why would anyone tell the truth just to tell the truth, unless there was some serious consequences for not doing so.

Long but interesting read

51. That's a great article. Thanks for sharing!

It's hard to find any sympathy for people like Stockton and Lawrence, but I'm glad they're talking. Running out of money can make people lose faith pretty quickly. Hope they have some incriminating knowledge that isn't already known by the committee. I think they'll probably spill their guts.

I hope there's enough evidence to have Trump indicted soon. It's going to be controversial, to say the least, when it happens. Will the Garland Justice Department have the gumption to go as far as the case needs to be taken? I'm not sure what to think about that. I admit I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly Bannon was indicted and how that all seems to be progressing. Looks like we're going to see a lot of action in the new year.

I hope there are enough people like Stockton and Lawrence who are disenchanted with Trump, and that resistance to Trump's prosecution isn't as strong as it might have been before. We're seeing a lot of information come out, and people are examining the evidence and maybe re-thinking some of what they thought they knew. Still, there are people like Tucker Carlson out there who are still stirring up the diehards. Guess we'll find out how many of those are left. Could be some perilous times coming.

53. Suckers.

They were already let down by what they saw as a lack of gratitude from the Trump administration: Their hoped-for administration jobs, possibly an overseas posting, never arrived. They had ties to Steve Bannon, and hoped to use his connections to become high-dollar fundraisers, but he never really made those introductions. They wanted Fox News appearances, and social media clout, but had trouble locking down both. Their highest-profile effort, the We Build the Wall fundraising campaign, ended in charges and recrimination. And in the months after the Jan. 6 rally, they came to feel betrayed by a movement they helped build.

“If you go work for Trump,” Stockton said to me last week, over a year after we had met up in D.C., “you eventually become the focus of the attack, and when you do, they just dump you.”

They are, they know, now political actors without a country, reviled on the left for being associated with insurrectionists, and on the right for now willing to talk about what actually went down that day in Washington. They can make for difficult, even unsympathetic, subjects, figures who perpetrated a decade’s worth of hijinks and dirty tricks who at last pulled off a stunt so big and outrageous they lost control of it.

Jan. 6 was supposed to be the culmination of their careers. Instead, it felt like the end.

Blinded by their ideology. It's no secret this is how he treats everyone.

They brutally attacked police officers, so what would stop them from harming others on the scene.

17. Neither is asking someone to park outside of a bank

...but a larger set of facts can certainly make a legal action part of an illegal scheme. It is not illegal to buy a face mask and a gun, and to ask a friend to drive you to a bank and wait outside for you while you go in. None of those things is illegal.

Most crimes, in fact, involve a sequence of actions which are perfectly legal, until those actions combine to constitute a crime.

However, absent a parade permit, leading a march down a street is not, in fact, legal in the first place.

nothing that has been uncovered matters, nothing, unless DOJ is involved. We have 2 sets of documents in writing explaining how our election should be overturned. He have audio of the former president asking a Georgia election official to change the outcome of the election. We have the former president's chief of staff using his G-mail account to urge a Georgia official to overturn the results of an election. None of this matters unless DOJ pursues it.

You are driving down a street with a friend as your passenger. The friend asks you to pull over and wait for them in the car while they go into a bank for a minute. The friend then comes out of the bank, gets into your car, and you drive away.

You are telling me that there is no way that your friend was involved in a bank robbery?

It may come as a surprise to learn that this statement of Jones is not the only fact or piece of evidence constituting a larger picture.

No, giving your friend a ride to and from a bank is not bank robbery. Other facts, in combination with that one, may provide a more informative picture of what was going on.

what remains to be found is the "smoking gun" that can be used to convict drumpf, jones, or anyone else and prevent them from simply saying "we were just leading a march, it isn't our fault some people got violent. we never wanted that"

somewhere in the war room at the hotel or the white house or someone's text messages is the ultimate proof.

18. When will these clowns learn that ALL of what happened on Jan. 6th

was classic tRump operating procedure? He orchestrates things from a safe distance. He gives orders through other people and tries to build a wall of protection between himself and the perpetrators. A buffer to give him some plausible deniability. He plots and plans, builds the energy and loyalty to him. Gins up their willingness to do his bidding.

Then he sets things in motion after getting them to a fever pitch. He pulls the plug on actually participating at the Capitol and goes back to the White House to watch it all unfold. He keeps a safe distance, protected by Secret Service and gleefully anticipates being declared the winner in the election. Only after he witnessed how badly it turned out did he tell them to retreat and go home. And that effort took several tapings because he could not admit they failed in their efforts to stop Congress and Pence. He was only too happy to leave others holding the bag.

It is classic tRump and anyone who doesn’t understand that is just being stubbornly, willfully blind.
He is a dangerous man who deserves to rot in prison for what he did.

Yes, Trump deserves to rot in prison, yet based on all the publicly available info I've seen he didn't say or do anything in relation to the January 6 insurrection that could be successfully prosecuted criminally. He seems to be very careful to avoid that. I'm hoping that the investigation yields enough information that civil suits against him could succeed.

43. Ever tried to enforce a judgment in Texas?

Most people have not been on the receiving end of multi-million dollar judgments, and so they are not familiar with the various categories and proportions of assets and income which cannot be seized to satisfy a judgment in various states.

Collection companies used to use the notation "MTT" to indicate debtors who had moved to Texas...

https://kretzerfirm.com/what-personal-property-can-be-seized-in-a-judgment-in-texas/

Personal property that can be seized in a judgment is the type of property that does not meet one of the numerous exemptions available under the Texas Constitution, Texas Property Code 41.001, Texas Property Code 42.002, Texas Property Code 42.0021, the Texas Homestead Law and other applicable laws. If that seems like a lot of legal protections, it is. Texas is a virtual stronghold of property protections from creditors and is one of the safest states to lose a judgment in the United States.

22. But Jones tried to lead rioters away from the Capitol

Admittedly, he was only doing it so he could be the star of the rally, but he wanted them to go to the other side where he had his own stage set up.

In this video Jones can clearly be heard imploring the mob to march around to the other side of the building where a stage was set up and a peaceful protest can take place. He warns them "to not have a confrontation with the police and make that the story". "Don't give them what they want". "Go to the other side where we can occupy peacefully". This was at 1:53 PM.

For once, Alex Jones was right because it was what happened after they overran the police that drove the news of the event and therefor public sentiment. That these idiots listen to Jones when he lies on the radio, but not when he makes sense, says a lot about Barstool Republicans:

This occurred just after the police line was first breached:

https://d2hxwnssq7ss7g.cloudfront.net/9ZAjhK7oy3a1_cvt.mp4

Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger this time, but this video flies in the face of claims that Jones actually led the insurrection. The entire 6 hours of the insurrection can be viewed here:

29. Missing Context

Was this Plan A or Plan B, Plan A being VP Pence would not certify the election and throw it into the House where each State gets 1 vote or Plan B where VP Pence does not cooperate with the plan and an insurrection is carried out? I think he may have been talking about Plan A here because Trump was surely not going to go to the Capital under any other circumstance than Plan A.

What I want to know is who had the 3rd burner phone. Might it have been Trump himself? And on another matter, was Trump on a burner phone as his kids met with the Russians in the Trump Tower meeting in 2016? There was an unknown phone number that Jr. called from that meeting. Indeed, how widespread was the use of burner phones by Trump and his people for the last 5 years? You can bet it was not a one time deal.

33. Trump's East side appearance was to distract from ?

The ATTACK ON THE WEST SIDE. Trump's appearance would have pulled all security to the East side. Right?

Suddenly the Capitol would have been overrun.
They would have brutalized the congress. Let Trump in the East side and declared him president for a second life term.

Of course Trump shot his load at the white house and went in to watch TV.

34. So? Not sure this gets us

......to where we were needing.

Unless one of them said, "come ready to overthrow Congress" or "come armed", it's just a "rally" or a "march". Old American traditions.

They will both slink off the hook with this language.

35. The more of this comes out...

…the easier it will be to put together a solid case against the Trump family. I don’t just want Trump to do time; Ivana’s children and Kushner also need a few years in front of a license plate press.

44. Quite an admission, no doubt.

Still would want to rely on something beyond Alex Jones' own words.

Because he's a slippery little fuck who will deny he ever said what he just did.

47. Trump is used to throwing people under the bus...

...and this time, he may be dealing with a star big enough to throw him under the bus.

54. So Jones was stood up?

Trump was too chickenshit to follow through? Bone spurs were acting up again?

55. Hoist on his own petard.

You know what he says is bullshit.
But he's provided 'credible'(?) evidence that he was sent by tfg.
What a clustersexualintercourse.

58. Just pointing out that this is not a confession of a crime as there is nothing illegal about

planning a march.
No, if we want to nail Jones and have in jail for a few dozen years (and it would be lovely if we could do it) we are going to have to find evidence that the intent was there to lead an actual insurrection.

doesn't depend on Alex Jones telling the truth.
