to be the overturn of Roe v. Wade. Covid and health permitting, I will be there.
I actually expect all six "conservatives" to vote to kill Roe after listening to the transparently "Got my mind made up, you baby-killer!" questions.

(15,124 posts)Republicans feel about women and how VITAL it is that we retain both houses in the midterms.
I think it could mobilize a lot of people to be active in their candidate's campaign and pull out all stops to defeat "the party that killed Roe v. Wade".

(94,502 posts)As I mentioned in another thread, pro-choice voters by and large are not single issue voters.

(68,552 posts)Democrats...use the issue to get more women to vote for us...SCOTUS doesn't care if anyone marches. The only thing we can hope for is that they realize that their credibility will be completely destroyed. Also, Roe is more than abortion laws you know...there is a right to privacy involved as well as LGBTQ rights.

(21,304 posts)if they believe that making abortion illegal will end abortion. I looked it up and some of the countries with the strictest abortion laws also have the highest rates of abortion. How did prohibition work out? The sad part is this isn't just about abortion, those clinics provided all types of health care.

(14,886 posts)except perhaps for people very nervous about being in a large crowd - people getting together is the energizing, synergistic. Seeing us of like mindedness all together - powerful.
Of the visits I've made to DC (18+) about half have been for marches & rallies: Labor, Renewable Energy, MLK 25th Anniversary Rally, Anti Iraq War, Choice (sigh).
Marches in NYC - Anti Vietnam War, Anti Nuclear Weapons, Earth Day, Anti Iraq War, Women's March (till covid).
I think it will energize people to eventually GOTV more with such a vital issue for Americans to get more Democrats elected. That can change things over time while I do fear 😔 for all potentially effected until women have continued choice, and achieve full equality here.
