OF COURSE I'm still "Ridin' With Biden" and, frankly, I don't understand how anyone calling

themselves a Democrat can't or won't say the same thing---PROUDLY.

So, President Biden has not YET accomplished all that he said he would.

So far, is that HIS fault?

Has he not tried mightily to herd the diverse cats in the Democratic party into a unified force for progressive causes?

Unlike Trump, we really DO have many of "the best people" and anyone with a lick of sense is proud of them. Millions in "dark money" funds are being spent to disparage, nitpick and slander everyone with a "D" after their name. Most of that stream of sewage is aimed at OUR president.

Joe Biden is a smart, decent and talented POTUS with genuine concern for and empathy with ALL Americans.

If you have his back, that's me beside you.

I was thinking the same thing. It does sound a lot like the same stuff that came at President Obama during the beginning of his term.

It seems there's a large subset of people that are just dying to jump onto the republican talking points, gladly lap up the GOP narrative, and just adore attacking their own.

Fortunately that worked out GREAT for Democrats in 2009/2010 so we should DEFINITELY commence the Biden attacks for not delivering our flying magical ponies quickly enough! ( /sarcasm )

No matter what the GOP and the GOP enablers want me to believe, I wake up every day now thankful that Biden's my president, and that Harris is my VP!

I can only assue it's being done in the name of whatever cockamamie bothsiderism the media have cooked up so they can say they are bing "fair."

But I really think it's turnout that kills us in midterms, I'm not saying theattacks have no effect. But I am saying that I really can't imagine anyone remorely with the Deocratic platform saying to themselves, "Joe isn't cleaning up the mess fast enough, I think I'll vote Republican."

But I can just see them thinking "Joe isn cleaning up the mess fast enough, why bother to vote?"

In KY yesterday, he was hugging people, not throwing paper towels. I am extremely glad to call him President. Its embarrassing and dismaying that a few Dems are holding up the agenda.

Talking with a very good friend of mine a few days ago. She's a rethuglican, but other than that, a good person. We've learned not to discuss politics so we don't come to blows. She did make a snarky comment--I thought Biden was going to end Covid (she is fully vaccinated). I said, he could if stupid unvaccinated people would stop creating variants.

Righties now think they really have sarcastic hyperbole dialed in after Trump's glorious example. They don't.

Did Biden promise HE would end Covid? I would be shocked if he'd ever said that. He knows to speak in "We"; WE can end Covid if WE work together.

He hasn't even been in office 11 months.

I'm not so good with the people who are choosing to obstruct everything.

And they are in our own party, in the senate specifically. In the House, they argue, negotiate, and, in the end, they pass the bills.

Not so much in the Senate.

I'm also not so good with the media and their relentless stream of bullshit, insisting that everything is a disaster.

Biden is doing the best he can, given the above two problems.

They are doing their level best to help *all* Americans despite being stymied left and right by Manchin, Sinema, all Republicans, anti-mask and anti-vaccine Trumpers, and the frigging "both sideism" of the mainstream media. He is swimming uphill against huge odds and doing a fantastic job with the limits that have been forced on him.

When you consider what he has gotten done with the slim majorities in Congress, which is full of obstructionist assholes, some from his own party, and only in ten months, it's downright miraculous. Nobody with even the slightest grasp on reality is going to think he's going to clean up Trump's massive shit mess within a year. Anyone who believes otherwise is fucking deluded.

than anyone since FDR.

He's the best choice, he knows what he is doing, we needed a smart, experienced politician in the Presidency and everything that is happening, including a roaring economy, tanking unemployment and legislative progress, shows it.

I heard a comment on MSNBC, from a Democratic congressman who said that Biden needs to put Manchin and Sinema on the spot, call their bluff and move the legislation forward. Turn the cameras off of them and on to people like Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren who take no prisoners and lay it all out there.

Yep, I've got his back and my Biden bumper sticker stays on the car for seven more years.

Fri Dec 17, 2021, 08:49 AM
Dec 2021

Those who abide by that way of thinking more frequently end up with the "nothing" end of the equation (and for some bizarre reason, appear to be quite satisfied about it.) In the end, the effect is to sabotage, cripple or kneecap the Biden agenda. They have no real power to accomplish anything meaningful, so instead they end up being a disruptive force.

All I'm trying to say is that we remain in an ALL HANDS ON DECK moment... now is not the time to rehash petty grievances or to demand "perfect" legislation at the expense of losing it all. The time for grandstanding and nit-picking Joe Biden (and his administration) is OVER! Progress (no matter how small) is still progress. It may not be "perfect" but any movement at all is closer to "perfect" than we are now. One step at a time. Building and growing along the way.

We'll get there... BUT... in order to do so, we and our elected representatives MUST come together and support EVERY bit of legislation, EVERY initiative, EVERY policy, EVERY executive order; EVERY appointment... WITHOUT FAIL!!
