I think the fever will fade when Trump becomes increasingly irrelevant. These aren't people with a lot of consistency... They'll drift away... I hope

alas unlike Christianity, Buddhists don't proselytize and try to convert people. You have to ask for teachings. Moist Westerners aren't aren't ready for Buddhism.

... they're not interested in virtue. Self-professed Christians have abandoned the teachings of their own religion - they're not about to be swayed by the teachings of another.

Health care, universal pre-K, child tax credits, education including trade schools…

Sound familiar? If we could refrain from shaming them (while absolutely holding the line on our beliefs and requirements) they’d eventually be happier.

That and tfg being gone. And frankly I think he’s fading away.
