"SNIP......

Wall Street Journal: “Nationwide, Mr. Trump’s share of the Latino vote grew by 8 percentage points compared with 2016, an analysis by Catalist, a Democratic voter-data firm found earlier this year. New calculations by the firm find that while then-candidate Joe Biden won 61% of Latino voters, the shift toward the GOP meant that he carried the group by about 750,000 votes less than had Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee four years earlier.”

“That erosion is a danger sign for the party, given that President Biden’s winning margin in five states was less than 100,000 votes.”

the economy not increase the debt. The "socialism" trope GOP is using against Democrats is obviously winning.

probably sways a few Latin American immigrants whose families fled Castro and other Latin dictators. Particularly in South Florida where Ana Navarro has noted a constant propaganda campaign.

Dem media presence compared to the RW is really weak. And it shows.

They need to get a grip and look at history and the big picture. The treatment of Latinos in the US is not great.

Our party’s leadership should be working on selling the idea that we are the party that not only supports upward social mobility and keeps middle class folks in the middle class, unlike the Republicans, who cut student aid, allowed public university tuition to skyrocket, and are cutting more social assistance funding to keep their ideologues happy and to support further tax giveaways to their billionaire campaign donors.

Furthermore, we shoulld expose the Republicans’ ties to white nationalists. These people regularly use code speak words like “illegals” not only to refer to undocumented immigrants, but Hispanics who have been here in the US for generations. (And sometimes decades longer than the forebears of certain white nationalists).

As for Florida… I’ve lost a lot of sympathy I once had for Republicans of Cuban origin. If they wish to continue their love affair with Trump, Democrats ought to remind Florida voters about the passive reactions of many Cuban politicians when Fulgencio Batista overthrew the last freely-elected Cuban government in a coup in 1952.

Marco Rubio and others of his sort lacked the guts to impeach Donald Trump this year just as his forebears lacked the guts to oppose Batista.

Republicans have been rooting their heinkel horns about how they’re the “pro-family” party all the while they’ve fought policies that benefit most American families. They ought to be called on that.

This is yet another reason why I think we would have had an EASIER time beating Trump if not for the pandemic.

... they've had lifelong indoctrination against abortion, maybe even against family planning of any kind.

We need to understand that other values are in play here. The Latinos (some of them) have been raised in an anti-feminist culture. It's going to take a lot of patience and understanding to get through, but I believe we can do it.

While many of them are staunchly anti-abortion, those clinics are also providing gynecological and infant care that these Latino Republicans’ dear white evangelical “friends” refuse to fund or support.
