(9,922 posts)I'm an old peep who doesn't use Alexa, but that decorative grille/wood-tone model took me right back to the way my parents decorated in the '60's, LOL!

(8,361 posts)There is no reason to rub their nose in it. Be kind, one day we'll all be in that boat...I'm getting closer all the time. lol

... I roared the first time I saw it and it's still funny; but not quite as much since I'm hearing it daily ....

Nope, just an insane Tower of Power fan. I saw Lenny P. with them in Berkeley in the 70's. He used to do a dance on stage they called the "whirling dervish," and then, he'd dance through the audience playing his sax.
He joined them for the 50th anniversary concert in Oakland in 2018, and I was there.

(1,944 posts)My sister in law (will be 79 this year) has been using that one for years! I think she doesn't want to just come out and say 'You're wrong' or 'I don't agree' and this is her way of saying she's right and we're wrong. Lol, I didn't realize it was that common, thought it was just her. This skit is great!

So I played this one -
And then my ECHO/ Alexa said - I have added biscuits to your grocery list. It actually scared me when she just started talking.

(3,926 posts)in blankets like a burrito, that I flopped out of bed onto the floor and coudn't get up. Alexa can be fun, can call my phone when misplaced (ahem), but does weird stuff like go off loudly at 3:00 am playing Dolly Parton's "Jolene, Jolene, Jooleenne..." Turned out to be Dolly's birthday, and no one admitted setting that alarm trick, not even Alexa!
