NEW: A federal judge has just denied a motion to dismiss in the Michigan kidnapping case, arguing the defendants "fail to carry the burden" of showing undisputed evidence of entrapment.
The case will proceed toward trial, where, the judge said, a jury can make a determination.

This ruling comes in response to defense arguments pointing to "egregious overreaching" by the government in the case based on the actions of confidential informants and FBI agents. The five defendants say they were entrapped; the DoJ says they were not.

(9,670 posts)I hope there are a lot more militias infiltrated by the feds. They say they need their guns to defend against a tyrannical government, but from 2017-2021, when we actually had a tyrannical government they took its side like the little gassed-up goosesteppers that they really are.
Just a bunch of future mass murderers looking for an excuse to squeeze the trigger.

(3,647 posts)about doing this, let alone, actually attempting to carry it off. What really awful human beings. All Gretchen has done since the beginning of the pandemic is try to keep her citizens as safe as possible. What is wrong with that? No, they are just awful human beings.

One of those charged pleaded guilty and cut a deal, so I'm sure he ratted all the others out.
