Remember when 10 former secretaries of defense posted that op-ed...

...about the inappropriate use of the military to decide an election? (see the story here: https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/defense-secretaries-letter-warning-trump-signed-days/story?id=75036788)

I wonder if in addition to all the alarming behaviors they were observing from the Trump admin, some of them also got wind of the unsigned executive order being discussed in the media now where the military seizing ballot boxes was proposed. Might be some interesting witnesses in those secretaries.

They'd heard enough to know what was in the wind but were not able to discuss the details due to their positions and rank.

the military has been corrupted with the RW extremism virus, too. It's not currently rampant at the highest levels, but another presidency like TFG could tip the scales the other way.

were intent on carrying out the strategy had the Capitol insurrection played out (or if the planted bombs had gone off) differently. They need to be revealed, rooted out and held accountable for any active involvement in the way of planning, support and readiness. At a minimum, immediate discharge of active players would be prudent.

6. They tried to split Cyber Command and the NSA?!

Huh, in the fire hose of information, I overlooked the part where Putin's puppet attempted to split U.S. Cyber Command and the National Security Agency.

"There's the firing of Esper right after the election, there's the installation of this cadre of political appointees around (acting Secretary of Defense Chris) Miller there, there's the rush for the exit in Afghanistan," Edelman said, also citing a reported attempt by the Trump administration to split U.S. Cyber Command and the National Security Agency last month as well as Trump's controversial call with Georgia's secretary of state on Saturday.

The fascists wanted to do this because?....Can anyone smarter than me speculate as to why?

The cadre of political appointees included Kash Patel and that Flynn connected punk Ezra Cohen-Watnick. Kash was sent to "work for" spy on Miller, to let the Nazis in the white house know what the DoD was doing in the days surrounding Jan. 6. Chris Miller was just the frontman and nasty things were really being run by Patel and Flynn's kiss ass kid, Cohen Watnick.

I would dig deeper regarding what was planned for Jan. 6 to explain the letter. The letter was intended to impact what could happen, not what did not happen.
