They have 6-3 majority, what reason would he have? I mean it's McConnell so don't be surprised, but I don't think he has announced his plans on this yet.

He's not the Majority Leader in the Senate anymore and he removed the 60-vote threshold to confirm Supreme Court Justices, so, Democrats can "go it alone" if need be.

Just asking.
Looking for all the possibilities because not one Repub will vote to confirm Biden's choice.
This is their chance to stick a permanent fork in the 'liberal' SC forever. McConnell's already on the phone to his rotten troops.

Now if Ginny Thomas's hubby would just leave...🤬

How fitting that Kamala Harris would be the vote that sends a Pro-Roe Woman of Color to sit on the SC with that racist beer swilling, macho, frat boy, Kavanaugh.

Make it happen!!!

because she was a woman? Possible IMO. God knows Boofer being a serial rapist was worse than she was, though both are trash and put in to protect Trump and the Puke party.

And it would've cost him his seat in 2018. See every other Dem who was up for reelection in 2018 and voted against him.

I'm not saying they won't confirm a SCOTUS appointment, but at the same time I don't think other judicial appointments, which don't have the same kind of exposure, are an indicator of how these two will vote on nationally prominent appointments.

Nominations of a supreme court justice is limelight level-- my guess is that after their actions of the past three months, both will do whatever they think gives them the best press and largest stage.

He has also voted against every chance to amend the fillibuster. If it is consistency he is looking for then he will vote for a SCOTUS nominee.

I doubt he will vote against a nominee, especially with breyers decision -i imagine he wouldn't have made this decision without good reason Manchin and Sinema would support a nominee.

Either way, breyer stays until a replacement is made. I imagine he could reverse his decision if there is no replacement for the entirety of Biden's term. But that seems very unlikely.

believe Mitch is promising her the world to side with them. I will never forget Sinema looking towards Mitch and then doing a cutsy as she cast her vote. And Manchin is a Democrat in name only. However, he is probably the best we could get (which aint saying much) out of that state.
