Garland should at least speak once a month so we all know he is still alive.

I have no problem with Garland being secretive about investigations, that's a good thing. It would help ensure, calm, the public if he at least spoke once and while letting everyone know he is on the job.

What makes you think that he has to inform the American people on the progress of the investigation?

He's smart, he knows that anything he says about the investigation can be twisted around and might inadvertently give up some vital info.

a shroud of secrecy is good considering the never-ending Trump garbage they have to untangle and investigate: Trump's White House crime spree and criminal enterprise, his hands-on election interference, encouraging and participating in a coup d'etat, inciting an insurrection, absconding with highly classified documents...everyday another bombshell revelation..and you can bet the 1/6 select committee and the DOJ are in very close contact... I'm sensing the DOJ and the committee are "picking off" Trump's inner circle of co-conspirators ...Bannon, Stone, Meadows, Giuliani, Powell, Eastman, Navarro, Clark et al., (think Mafia investigation)...they're going after THE DON...

There are millions of Americans just like us here at DU who are stressed out because we do not know what Garland is up too. This is one of the most important investigations in our history. An investigation that could decide the future of our country. Garland knows this, he could at least assure us once and while he is investigating, on the job, without telling us what he is investigating.

He did that in early January I believe. He should continue to do that once and while.

Outside of political activists and bloggers, most people are NOT fixated on Trump and whether he'll be indicted. They may support an indictment if you ask them, but their attention is focused on crime, inflation, COVID, eduction....bread and butter issues.

blame the above problems on the Democratic party. With no one to point out what criminal liars they are they may well be in charge again. You may be right about most people don't know what's going on but without charges and information about the trump/Republican crimes they never will.
