. . . buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut not anywhere on a track during a bout (massive insurance/safety liability to the venue and the league). The Photo depicts active participation. Move off the track.

Sorry . . . just a little nitpick from an NSO . . .

Sharpied numbers on the arms indicate an active bout or scrimmage. They wouldn't have them on their arms in any other situation but that.

This is likely either a staged shot or a league that just doesn't give a shit. Our league has played against many of those . I'm thinking staged, because on second glance, they also have no team logo, interleague or travel, on their shirts. Might be a B/W scrimmage too.

" . . . But for the record, this photo was taken at the break between a double header. There was no derby play going on at that time, as confirmed by the photographer himself. This photo was taken for an online breastfeeding magazine with the angle of derby girls who breastfeed. Rest assured that Mama would never feed her baby in a situation that could result in the baby coming to any harm. As a fellow Anarchy Angel I can testify that she always feeds at half times where there is no danger. I hope this puts your mind at ease. Cheers."

Exploiting the contextually irrelevant for its own sake.

A new plateau of banality.

Coming soon to a third grade class near you.

On a lighter note, it would be kind of funny if her derby team was sponsored by the Olive Garden.

Right here on DU, we've had a couple of threads the last week or so where people are still equating breastfeeding in public to urinating (or defecating) in public. There are many progressives that think it should all be covered up (the horror of the boob or milk, I'm not sure which offends more) or done in private (including my own mother, who I basically said could leave if she couldn't get used to my baby eating).

Regarding your lighter note:

nearly 35 years ago, the woman in the next bed asked for the shot that would dry up her milk because she didn't want her boobs ruined by stretchmarks and sagging. Seriously. Guess she would have agreed with you!
