Being a teacher is one of the most important jobs for our future. Should I say a public school teacher. However, one of the most undervalued.

This story comes from the local over-the-air FOX Broadcasting outlet in Las Vegas. You can watch it with rabbit ears. FOX News is distributed via cable and satellite. Completely different.

He at one time forced all his loca news stations to run derogatory and inflammatory ads and news programs that bashed Hillary Clinton. He does not allow his affiliates to do much news favorable to Democratic policy. If he catches them doing it. He starts firing people.

Wrong. There are not 236 {the number of FOX Broadcasting affiliates per Wikipedia} FOX News channels throughout the U.S.

Once again, you are mistaking FOX News for FOX Broadcasting. They are separately run organizations. Rarely, you will see FOX News content on a FOX Broadcasting affiliate, but the shared programming is limited. I've noted those instances in the excerpts from Wikipedia.

I watch hours of programming on my local FOX Broadcasting affiliate, WTTG, and I do not see FOX News content other than on Sunday mornings. It seems that there is an hour or two on Sunday mornings. I don't know how long the show is, as I don't watch it. That's when I exercise my right to hit the channel up or down buttons on my remote. The station comes in with a strong signal, so sometimes it's my choice for watching the State of the Union.

I have yet to see a weather report or local news story on WTTG that told me how I should vote.

You can go ahead and believe what you want. For people who are interested in learning the distinction, I offer this:

A person I see regularly told me they are looking at buying a house in NE Indiana and the prices are incredible. She's doing so because the rents for apartments are over $1k a month.

How are we leaving so many behind? When the pandemic hit and relief for renters was happening, I remember hearing a story of a woman who had $10k in rent fees, waiting to get the assistance from the state. I couldn't believe it! I was so unaware.

As an aside, a friend who owns a number of properties tells me that many owners make a lot of money on application fees, taking applications when they have already made a decision, charging outrageous amounts. Nice little grift.

I know that it costs money to run a credit check. But you don't need to run a credit check on EVERY applicant. You can ask to see a pay stub, you can ask for references, call previous landlord, and do a Google search for any serious arrests, etc. So you only need to run a credit check after weeding out most of the applicants.
And the credit check is for the BENEFIT OF THE LANDLORD! The prospective tenants shouldn't be shouldering those costs.
