(54,770 posts)I wasn't watching the Grammys tonight. This is one of my favorite songs! Did he perform this at the Grammys? (I will scour the internet for it) I hope he won! This is an absolutely amazing song. I can never hear it and not feel like dancing. For a while, I was listening to it in the morning to get my day going on a good note.
So nice to see you...

(11,451 posts)We have gone twice and loved it. Last time we rented airbnb in the wards that are black only or mostly. Whole week we were only white people around. I wanted to see what it felt like. It was best trip. We found places away from tourist areas.
I was just asking my husband today when are we going back. He was wondering if crime was worse and I said it was bad last two times we went you can't think of that!
So how are things? Are tourists coming back?
Have you ever done rock and bowl? We took taxi to other side of town and were only tourists there. You would bowl then dance.

(3,605 posts)Fantastic! I absolutely love this song. I don't know what it is about it, but it really moves me. Both physically and spiritually.
I love the part (When I look up to the stars, and I know who we truly are), where they have several Mardi Gras Indians. Not sure how many folk will get that part, but it is amazing.
I love New Orleans, and I love Jon Batiste, and is SURE FEELS GOOD TO BE TALKING ABOUT LOVE RIGHT NOW (instead of the opposite).
This war is exhausting, and I'm not even it it. (the cost of empathy)
Thank you so much Me. for posting this.

(9,310 posts)Everything came together just right: the camerawork, the choreography, the art direction, the casting... everything!
And, New Orleans as best supporting actor!

(54,770 posts)Really paid attention when he was appearing from home on Colbert during lockdown. He was so cool. I assume it was at his home studio where he had this really cool painting behind him. I need to post a photo of that.

(2,191 posts)He had 11 nominations, which I think was close to the record, and won 5.
