We're really turning into Nazi Germany.

(63,221 posts)When they know how broadly unpopular this is?
Does this mean the fix is in and they are just showing us how they plan to fuck us all as hard as they can once the takeover is complete? Because that's what it looks like to me. They are not even trying to pretend to compromise anymore.

(3,213 posts)ignore what everyone wants, and do any evil thing they want. It's Nazi Germany all over again.
We're probably headed for another Civil War imo.

(34,095 posts)According to my relatives who are now completely blocked by me, it is because the harder they make it the more their Jesus will love them. Jesus loves babies, not so much disobeying women. We were made to comply to what the church patriarchy wants and that is it. That is your life honey, be satisfied with being allowed to serve. Rather than saying, "Blessed Jesus" we shall say, "Under his eye."

(2,403 posts)How the fuck will they know? If you can get the morning pill by mail then just exactly how will they know if sperm had connected with egg?

(7,447 posts)I'd guess they'd say only way to be sure is to make it illegal to prescribe or take in state.

(2,403 posts)Are they then going to snoop your mail since it can be delivered in the mail?

(7,447 posts)you make it a crime to possess, sell, transfer, or use it.
Now, how effective would it be? Not very, you'd rely on self admissions or witnesses (boyfriend/husband/etc).
Then you'd have to find an example or two of unlucky women.
I'm not defending it, nor am I suggesting that women shouldn't seek out these pills by mail, just saying that's the likely path in states like LA that go to this extreme.

(2,403 posts)I wasnt really arguing so much as just doing a thought exercise. I agree with everything you have said.

Women, POC and LGBT are under attack by RWers.

I'm guessing this is a roundabout way of banning the Pill and Plan B, as they like to claim that they work by preventing a fertlized egg from implanting. They actually work by preventing ovulation but RWers don't accept science.

(12,323 posts)A bill advanced Wednesday by Louisiana state lawmakers would classify abortion as a homicide, allowing authorities to potentially charge women and girls with murder and criminalize in vitro fertilization, critics said.
The bill, dubbed the Abolition of Abortion in Louisiana Act, passed 7-2 out of a state House of Representatives subcommittee two days after Politico published a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion suggesting the high court is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade.
The bill will now move to a full House vote. The legislation would still need support from the senate and governor before it becomes law.
