The Republican Party will not actually support meaningful gun legislation---period.

They will "discuss" it.

They will "consider" it.

They will "explore common ground".

But, they will not stand up and vote for anything that might make a difference.

If we want to enact the type of laws that the majority wants, we will have to ELECT MORE DEMOCRATS!

Don't be lulled into hoping anything else will work.

Until massive, sustained direct action and peaceful civil disobedience are in place and taking a heavy financial toll, nothing meaningful will take place.

during their watch? Watch them go running to the exits, not answer the hard questions, and say the stupid utterings 'Thoughts and Prayers' or "don't mix politics now w/ guns, now is not the time to talk about it".

Just when is, Mr. Cruz, captain of the Gun Lobby', is it 'time' to talk about guns? How about let's schedule week 42 of next year, in-between shootings at High School A and Post Office B?

Cruz is a pathetic weasel, and so are the rest of the GOP thugs, who can't stand up on their own two legs or grow a spine.

Dems are somewhat split on the issue, getting into intramural arguments about terminology and the devinition of "common sense".

Way back (two weeks ago) when Women's Right to Choose was the number one issue, I thought we might have a chance to increase Dem majorities in both houses. Now I wonder. Maybe when the SCOTUS releases its actual revocation of Roe, we will once more be united and have a chance at a bigger majority.

They are breaking the hearts and souls of the American people.

This is being done on purpose to make us surrender to their control.

The good news is that they are apparently feeling the heat on this, because otherwise they wouldn't bother to respond with even this fig leaf.
