Just heard this guy Joe Walsh "the former Retrumplican politician, NOT the excellent guitarist" say that "Donnie Dipshit having a toddler tantrum in the SUV and throwing food against the wall in the White House" will "only increase his support among the Retrumplicans".
Sorry, I have already raised my children. I refuse to be forced to do the same for "supposedly" grown adults.

(8,907 posts)He wanted to walk into the House chamber with his Q militia and intimidate Mike Pence into declining the electoral ballots from "their" contested states.
Then when the all hell broke loose, he would impose the Insurrection act.
Under normal circumstances, the Posse Comitatus Act forbids the U.S. military including federal armed forces and National Guard troops who have been called into federal service from taking part in civilian law enforcement.
Invoking the Insurrection Act temporarily suspends the Posse Comitatus rule and allows the president to deploy the military to assist civilian authorities with law enforcement.
As you can see from the excerpt, "Posse Comitatus" and "to enforce the law" are bold, that's because Pendejo45 wanted to enforce HIS law that Pence can decline electoral ballots to throw it back to the states he needed to win the election. And he would not lift the insurrection act until that happened.
To accomplish this, he needed to create chaos (i.e. pipe bombs at RNC/DNC HQ's, and the Insurrection at the Capitol) and be in the House chamber to lead the insurrection and enforce his coup.
That's how I see it anyway.

(7,997 posts)He envisioned himself leading the charge like Napoleon or something. The conquering hero so to speak. There's no doubt in my mind that he expected to be there and be protected by that mob of thugs.

(10,426 posts)and more, the bottom line is - the best thing you can say about them is that they are gullible, malleable and easily duped. Their judgement cannot be trusted on anything important if they are that easily suckered.
At the worst, they are full-blown racist assholes.
In no case are they worth associating with.
