Very much like what it was from 1789-1861.
People identified with their state more than the nation as a whole.
The abortion issue will now drive that ideology further and faster, as I predicted and is now coming to fruition.

(102,225 posts)first posted months ago, but it reflects pride in my state whose politics are far more representative of my views than are those of our country. Likewise the outreach of Colorado to Ukrainian relief efforts, but it is the former that has me posting those two crossed flags, rather than a US-Ukrainian one.

(89,247 posts)the bad and not improve .
Love for a country/home makes more sense since people who do it would want to improve it .
I think even the developed Western European countries where people have high standard of living and a good quality of life tend to be less nationalistic .
( in this case I think the decrease in pride has to do with many Trump supporters though so the above reasons don't necessarily apply to this) .

(1,962 posts)I don't think I've felt "proud" ever since I came to understand myself, and realized I am an outcast. Sorry to say that as time has gone on, I still feel like an outcast... And it's obviously gotten worse over the last 6 years.
Now, thanks to these "almighty patriots," I feel like I have a target painted on my back too.
