In 2014, the Supreme Court struck down a Massachusetts law that created a 35-foot buffer zone around abortion clinics in which anti-abortion protesters were not allowed to congregate. The court declared the restriction a violation of the anti-choice protestors speech rights.

A bullet proof back pack and a deadbolt on their doors. Maybe a rent a cop with questionable security skills and a walkie talkie.
Why should they get more than the rest of us (or some low level election official)? If they don't feel safe, they can resign and find another job.
