Why they should call the valet?

Because character issues are more important to Trump supporters than crimes or illegal activities. After all, they expect him to be a criminal - that's one of the things they admire about him.

If the valet were to testify that the plate-throwing had happened before, and the table cloth was jerked from the table and the china ended up on the floor. We do not if was historic White House china? It didn't seem to matter with Trump.

Also, if there are witnesses that will testify about the SUV incident, where he attempted to grab the wheel, it would show him to be petulant and angry like a child.

Trump supporters do not really care if he wanted the magnetometers (MAGS) shut down. Oh, hell yeah! He wanted to march down to the Capitol with them. This would not be a story that would resonate with Trump supporters.

They admire the criminality of Trump but they do not like the person that throws dishes or dumps his food on the White House walls.

Democrats tend to look for the criminality, which might hold up in a court of law, but that is not where Trump is weak with his people. He tries to protect his facade of a strongman and doesn't want anyone to see the weak, insecure child.

1. The president has called Hutchinson a liar. The committee needs to put on witnesses to rebut this

We can’t just let this lying liar’s lies go unanswered all the time! Then the talking heads just chuckle and say, well that’s just Trump being Trump. Gag

with dozens of rebuttal witnesses already lined up.

Also, videos of his ever changing bullshit (lies) and then asked which lie is the truth. He will explain and explain and explain and then try to change the subject. It will not be a pretty picture, but then no picture of him is pretty.

6. No. And now we hear "we shouldn't be focused on little things like this."

The woman is testifying under oath the former President of the United States called her a liar, that is not a little thing. In fact he accused her of the crime of perjury. An ex president shouldn’t be able to go around accusing citizens of crimes without any kind of proof. Constantly rebut his lies. We may get tired of hearing the truth repeated, but the other side never gets tired of hearing these lies repeated.

That indeed, he would throw plates frequently.

Just wondered if you thought the committee would rebut the lying accusations.

15. You notice Trump did not spend a lot of time on the dish-throwing incident?

Because he knew it was true. Democrats should have gotten to the bottom of it, however trivial some think it is.

2. It serves no good purpose to devolve into a sensationalist he said/she said sideshow.

It doesn't matter if he throws plates. It matters that he sent an armed and violent mob to the Capitol to overthrow the government.

Let's keep our eye on the ball.

This is exactly the criticism of the media I see so much here: a focus on the sensationalist stories rather than the important stuff. Hell, the media is only giving you people what you want. This seems to be what you care about: the ketchup sliding down the wall.

We are doomed.

5. If there is a witness, it is no longer he said/she said.

Trump supporters love the idea that he sent a violent mob to attack to attack the Capitol. I'm just saying that if you want to change the minds of Trump supporters, going after his criminal acts is the wrong approach. They love his Godfather image. They don't care what laws he breaks.

What is important to you may not be important to someone else.

10. What good does it do to pursue this?

We all know she heard someone else telling the story. She was clear it was hearsay. We have read the news reports that bolsters her recounting of the story. Let the media continue to do the rebuttals.

Let the committee focus on the criminality. Whether or not his mob sees the criminality for what it is really isn't important. The rest of the country gets it. I am pretty sure the DOJ gets it. I am pretty sure the DOJ cares more about subverting democracy than ketchup sliding down a wall.

It serves no purpose for the committee to get bogged down in sensationalism. It cheapens the hearings. The committee's job is to inform the public of the criminality. Let's keep our eye on the ball and stop getting distracted by sideshows.

Who gives a shit what his supporters think? Their minds won't be changed in a he said/she said about throwing plates. Do you think exposing his temper tantrums will change their minds?

and think beyond the walls.

If you can weaken Trump with his supporters, you strengthen the legal cases against him with the DOJ.

If he can be exposed as a fraud, it is very important.
