For Those Of You Who Don't Speak "Fox," I'll Translate. When Fox "News" Spends The Whole Afternoon

...braying and bleating about Hunter Biden, and gang violence in Chicago (dog whistle for Lori Lightfoot), it means THEY'VE GOT NOTHING. They've got ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, and are having to distract their half-wit viewers long enough to THINK of something.

That means that they were caught completely flat footed, with their pants down, when Democrats scored two HUGE legislative victories, and Republicans turned around and clobbered VETERANS HEALTHCARE just for SPITE.

Listen, Democrats....TAKE A VICTORY LAP, you DESERVE it!

dittohead nation

fox's main function is to put block heads and blonde perms on rw radio repetition of lies...to put the visual icing on the lie turd pie of talk radio

it's all about creating and managing dittoheads, teabags, trumpers with repeated lying and bullshit and intimidating and enabling politicians, even dems like manchin, with them, who recently figured out the global warming denial on those radio stations is getting less and less believable even to the dumbshit dittoheads

it's about creating made-to-order pro corporate climate denying constituencies

the chicago angle was part of the usual constant limbaugh/RW radio attack on obama, and now any chicago dem and dems in general, who are associated with 'black chicago'.

i remember an interview with a chicago guy pissed off about the guns in his neighborhood who said he saw an SUV pull up in his neighborhood and start handing out guns from the trunk......

then McConnell condemns it, and now they've passed major legislation on chip manufacturing, science education, research, and a lot more.

In a joint statement, Manchin and Schumer said: “The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 will make a historic down payment on deficit reduction to fight inflation, invest in domestic energy production and manufacturing, and reduce carbon emissions by roughly 40% by 2030.”

According to a policy brief, the bill will generate $739bn through a 15% corporate minimum tax, prescription drug savings and other means. It excludes surtaxes on people making at least $10m a year, ending Democrats’ push to make the wealthiest Americans pay more taxes.

The proposal would invest $396bn in energy security and fighting climate change, and $64bn to bolster healthcare. Manchin also indicated that provisions to reform the permitting process for energy infrastructure, including gas pipelines, would be included in the deal.

15% corporate minimum tax????

Geez, I remember when it was 35%

Who do you think is going to pick up that other 20%? It won't be the owners of the corporations.

This is not the Dems fault. This happened on TFG watch. But damn, I had no idea it had fallen to practically nothing.

Biden got ALL the other developed countries to go along with the 15% corporate minimum tax. So, the developed countries are no longer involved in a bidding war for the large multinational corporations. "Register your company in any country you want, but they'll all charge the same minimum tax rate."

I remember cheering when I heard that. There are still a few of those stupid faux tax havens in the Bahamas. Where you have a multi-billion dollar corporation that's registered to a mail box in the Cayman Islands. But at least the list of tax havens no longer includes 'real' countries.
