..that's what a lot of voters want and they are mostly worried about the price of gas. However, we know that bunch comprises a minority and if everyone who wants to vote BLUE gets to vote and has his/her vote counted, BLUE will win.

9. Those are two big voting "ifs" in red states.

I’m sure Abbott and his team already have a plan in place for holding back some vote counting to see how close Beto is to winning. They’ll disqualify enough ballots, mostly the mail ballots because they’ve created ballots so confusing that many voters do not know where they need to sign on both the ballot and the “secret” unmarked spot on the envelope it’s to be mailed in. Plus, with the Postal Service no longer date stamp all mail, unscrupulous Republican clerks can simply use zip codes for Democratic ares to say the ballots were not received by the deadline.

Voting in person is much more likely to have your vote counted, though I know many people cannot do this. I suspect the state may still have some of the old voting machines that do not have paper backups, and those have always been suspect. Travis County had those during the last Senate election, and Democratic voters took photos of the screens showing that a party-line vote flipped only the vote for Beto to Cruz. I’ve never been convinced that Cruz actually won that race because a lot of party-line voters do not take the time to scroll through every vote to make sure it actually got registered correctly. Fortunately we now have new voting machines with paper backup and it’s easy to review the votes prior to printing the ballot.

They are either too lazy to delve into the issues or else willfully ignorant. There is no other way to explain them. The best chance for Dems to win is for them to vote, which many don’t do.
