Oh, what a happy laugh I get out of it when right-wing nutjobs accuse me of being one of the privileged Elites!

I also took several breaks, about a year or two, to work full-time or more, saving as much money as possible. I also got several student loans and paid them all back (I finally got some loan relief after working in the public schools for a decade).

Of course, this was several decades ago, before criminal loan sharks took over most of the student loans so they could cheat poor 17-year-olds out of most of their future paychecks.

Thank you, Joe Biden and Democrats, for helping these victims of fraudulent student loans, at least a little.

A lot of those jobs were done by students receiving work-study aid. In my experience, work-study was often done by students whose parents either made too much for Federal Loans, or whose parents didn't want to take the parent-backed loans.
