Women. I am going to enjoy watching women kick the shit out of the Republicans this November. Women are registering in droves. Young people too.
If you don't believe me, just look at how the Republicans running for office are now running for the hills on abortion.
We have a chance to hold the House which was not possible a few months ago.

(6,008 posts)... that republicans are liars, and we should on no accounts trust this backtracking. Case in point, the lawmaker who blubbered about losing sleep over not understanding the reality caused by his prior vote for abortion bans, and then proceeded to vote for more.

(9,225 posts)half the American population. Rights they've had for 50 freaking years.
What the hell did they expect? Seriously.
That women were going to just sit back and say: "Aww it's no big deal that Republicans consider us just incubators with legs, male service units, reproductive slaves not deserving of control over our own bodies and lives!"
'Cause that is NOT happening.

I mean, it's not like pre-menopausal women get a reminder of their fertility status every month, and it's not like post-menopausal women have daughters, granddaughters, nieces, friends, coworkers, etc. who might be negatively affected by the bans...
CousinIT
(9,225 posts)...getting hoisted high on their own ... stupidity.
Good enough. And well-earned. They should be electorally tarred, feathered and strung up in the streets in November. I hope that Kansas was just a small harbinger of what's to come.

(6,788 posts)Running pictures of Republicans, senators, congressmen, judges over a voice asking husbands and fathers if they want these Republican Perverts in their wives, and daughters doctors appointments.
Then a quick cut to Democrats saying neither do we, vote for us, throw these Republican Perverts out of your wives and daughters doctors appointments. VOTE Democratic!

And who - or what - will they come after - next?

* They all voted against a lower price of gas @ the pump by stopping the big oil companies from making
10s of billion dollars in overcharging for product.
* They voted to cancel the votes of > 80,000,000 American voters in a coup.
* Trump .... he is grifting traitor who works for Vlad. And he was selling our nation's top secrets to our
enemies.
TV spot here is Congressperson X .... Rep. X voted to hurt women and what they want to do with the bodies,
he voted against cheaper gas, he was in support of a violent coup, and he supported the biggest
crook in the biggest crime in American History. Rep. X if somebody shows you what they are, believe 'em.

The removal of civil rights should have the opposite effect. "Should" aint set into stone. I will be happy if enough of the total jerks are kicked out to give us a fighting chance.
I'm still hoping for a Donnybrook on the RNC convention floor in 2024 between TFG's fan club and people who still have at least a tenuous grasp on reality.

(56,828 posts)that Biden has been appointing federal judges at a much faster rate than his predecessor. If Dems can hold the senate, or even expand their razor-thin majority, I can see many federal courts being flipped by the end of Biden's 1st term.
Granted, SCOTUS won't be flipped without court expansion or an unexpected death/resignation or two. (Sorry, I don't think Thomas will be impeached... )

Yesterday he was in Ohio throwing that rage on Nan Whaley. When he was in Dayton, after the massacre he would not even let her go to the hospital with him. He posed fror show.
Trump was a lunatic before he lost the election, now he is a dangerous maniac.

(22,550 posts)It won't happen until it happens, and crow is not a tasty meal. In 50 years of voting for Democratic Party members I have learned that too often too many Democrats are fickle and undependable voters needing to be excited and motivated to cast their ballots and too many Republicans tend to vote like it was their duty. That's the one and only way that I wish Democrats were more like Republicans.

(10,140 posts)In every presidential election since 1980, the proportion of eligible female adults who voted has exceeded the proportion of eligible male adults who voted.
Women are registered to vote in the U.S. at higher rates than men. In recent years, the number of women registered to vote in the U.S. has typically been about 10 million more than the number of men registered to vote.
The number of female voters has exceeded the number of male voters in every presidential election since 1964.

(37 posts)It seems though that should have been the case back in 2016 as it was clear what a pussy-grabber Trump was but 39% of women voters went for him in 2016. I hope to Jebus that more republican voting people wipe the shit out of their eyes and see how they've been conned by the GOP.

(8,084 posts)Decreases the amount of support republicans tend to get from women which for national elections for the president is usually republicans get 53% of white women voters.
It would be awesome to see that presented drop to even 40%.
