The Chief of Staff manages the Oval Office. Meadows knows about the secret documents.

Meadows is at the heart of the J6 investigation and the secret document investigation.

Meadows most likely knows how Trump got the documents and who gave him the documents. The people who gave Trump the secret documents better lawyer up.

I guarantee this. If DOJ ever does subpoena Mark Meadows, it will give him immunity to testify against Trump, and that is fine with me.

I just don't see the will to prosecute high ranking former cabinet officials. I do believe DOJ may now be forced to prosecute Trump with this classified document scandal, maybe in 4 or 5 months, no hurry, it's Steve Kornacki time, and basketball and football time.

The House is pressing him for a ruling, but I suspect that he plans to draw things out past the election in hopes that a new House majority will simply drop the case.

These are DOJ investigations.

There are indeed DOJ investigations going on (though DOJ has already declined to indict Meadows regarding the contempt citation), but the current court action re: Meadows is related to the Jan 6 committee's subpoena.

Trump went through Chiefs of Staff until he found Mark Meadows, a flunkie, a fluffer. Of course Meadows knows what went on that's why the J6 committee subpoenaed him a year ago, but was stonewalled. So the J6 committee sends a criminal referral to DOJ for Meadow's ignoring the subpoena. Then what happened? Someone tell me? Excuses abounded about how DOJ couldn't prosecute Meadows because of discovery, because he was too high on the pyramid strategy.

I believe it's time for DOJ to subpoena Meadows to its grand jury? Or is it too soon?

Garland could grant Meadows immunity and force him to testify in front of a grand jury. Meadows could refuse, then he would be held in contempt and go to jail. Would Meadows be willing to go to jail? I am just saying this is a possibility.

If the then Prez refused to give them back, what were they to do? Lunge at him with the SS agents all around? I think not.

You have to sign for those documents. I was in the military. I had to sign to get my weapon from the arms room. If I handed my weapon to someone else and my weapon disappeared, I would have gone to prison. This is worse.

Probably was all along. Maybe the mole at mare-of-lardo. He was a first class weasel when he was in the House and looking out for his own ass then.
