I suspect we are in for a bumpy ride up to election day. I received a robo text yesterday..Rick Harrison from TV show Pawn Stars for Adam Laxalt NV..I am in AZ...# was 1-725-258-3369
"Ron Desantis knows Adam is the real deal, Adam Laxalt is running for US Senate in NV. blah blah blah..and he is being attacked by the DEM elites and libs whohave spent over $60 million to destroy his campaign. Nothing would m me happier than to hand themb a humiliating defeat. Touting 3X matching donation for Adam..an offer you can't refuse.."
Some of my response - Take your racist insurrection demolition derby BS %^^$&* watch WOMEN of this country - the rest is *&^%$^*()..and added "you have permission to fwd to little di.. desatan and mushromm di*^ too!!
Recv'd another robo text right after my response # 1-267-774-3235 with an http - I checked using another device - the http went to dr oz..Reported both #s to fcc at link..

(9,968 posts)I highly doubt that reporting spam texts to the FCC will do anything either. If you report or block the number the text came from, the spammers just use a different number next time.

(9,968 posts)I have been getting phishing attempt spam texts from "Netflix," "Amazon," "FedEx," etc. I report them to the real companies -- for all the good that'll do, either!

(7,275 posts)this happened a couple of days ago. I have an East Bay area code. It doesn't get much Blue'er.. it's dense population is so Blue, you'd have to pour boat loads of purple to make it even slightly red.
I'm guessing the Russians/RNC hacked into the DNC data base again to scrape up the phone number for their campaigns.
I wish that was an election fraud crime. a federal crime, but I think it's perfectly legal as they say.
In any event, I had some words in response as readers here might imagine, then I manually reported/blocked/deleted.
I haven't received any since, but it's early days. .
I'd very much like to know what I can do to prevent these texts and calls in the first place.
