It is a waste of tax payer money he says. We should give THAT money to social security people.
Just because he never went to college, he puts down people who did. He is such a jack ass.
He never helped his son with his college. His son got a 4 year degree and is now an accountant, YES HE IS PAYING OFF HIS LOANS, All by himself. He still lives in an apartment, he is engaged but won't get married for 2 more years because he is low on money.

I would like income taxes stopped on all earning less than $125K, with all earning reconsidered every year to correct the injustices done by senior managers siphoning all corporate annual gains over the previous year into their own pockets.

(2,166 posts)Also, lets not forget that educated people vote Blue and thats a major reason the Qpublican elites dont want people to go to college. So now, all the right wing MSM has jumped on this. Like other posters said, no complaints when the 1% get two trillion dollar tax scam.

(25,817 posts)I've been frustrated for years at the way students and their parents blithely take on tens of thousands of dollars in debt for college.
Especially to get a degree that has no employment possibilities.
My advice has been to start at your local community college, live at home, and then transfer to a 4 year school. Go ahead and major in a field you're fascinated by, but never lose sight of the fact that you will need to get a job and support yourself when you're done.

(17,194 posts)you said ::: Especially to get a degree that has no employment possibilities.
Can you back your statement up with facts? HOW many students do that?

Also, think things like 17th Century French poetry. Unless the student can land one of the rare jobs teaching it in college, and that will require a PhD, there are no jobs there.
I have, over my many years of attending college on and off, known too many students starry-eyed about some fascinating field of study, without ever checking out the employment possibilities. I just wish more students and their parents would be realistic. Yes, it's fine to major in something you love, but don't ever lose sight of the need to get a job later.
