(102,141 posts)I'd hoped his early-on defense of Bill Barr just prior to his assuming AG position for Trump would have made him a bit more appropriately cynical or at least realistic...

(6,973 posts)For all that Bill Barr has become. Chuck didn't remember Iran Contra, and that whole thing concerning Bill Barr from the 1980's and Daddy Bush's Administration where almost no one got in trouble? Really?
I understand him bringing neutrality and fairness to the table, but oftentimes when I've seen him speaking about legal issues, he came off as Mr. Pollyanna. I've seen many say that he's fair, honest, one of the best and I do believe that he is, but wow some of the Pollyanna takes that I've heard/seen come out of his mouth during this reign of tRump terror has been mind-boggling to put it lightly
Glenn Kirschner is the MAN. While Glenn's fair, balanced and uber measured, he KNOWS and identifies the human stench tRump IS, and he calls his big, treasonous, evil, ignorant criminal ass out on the regular, and backs it up with FACT. Love the guy.

(19,187 posts)he's correct. Not much of what we're spoon fed by the media has been sensational. Most times, everything will suss out rather mundane, rather than be nerve jangling sensationalism.
He's trying to decrease irrational exuberance. Donald Trump does the exact opposite.
I'll take Chuck's even keeled approach every day in comparison to Trump's razor's edge sensationalism.
