I will just leave this here as a reminder

It’s insane to me that Louis DeJoy participated in election fraud in 2020 by weaponizing the USPS to lose mail in ballots and destroy vote sorting machines yet instead of being fired and prosecuted, he’s still in the exact same position to be able to do it all over again.

Bloomberg November 5, 2020
The U.S. Postal Service on Thursday told a judge that a review of processing data revealed roughly 4,250 mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania and North Carolina may have gone missing.

WAPO right after the election:

More than 150,000 ballots were caught in U.S. Postal Service processing facilities Wednesday and not delivered by Election Day, agency data shows

NYT Sept 1 2020: WASHINGTON — More than one million mail-in ballots were sent late to voters during the 2020 primary elections, an internal Postal Service audit found, underscoring deep concerns about whether the agency has the ability to process what is expected to be a major increase in mail-in votes for the presidential election in November.

I get the feeling so much of the cleanup needed post the prior admin. has gone undone. DeJoy is a case in point. For at least 1.5 years I've asked repeatedly why the guy who's mission it is to kill the USPS is still employed by the USPS. To date, I haven't received as satisfactory answer.

Along with the delay of a LOT of other mail. And a growing impression that the postal service is not functioning properly, adding just a hint of believably to the RW hue and cry that votes cant be trusted to the mail service.

Doesnt much matter if you actually delay or lose ballots if you convince enough people that their ballots are likely to be delayed or lost.

Leaving him in place is a HUGE mistake. Theres a lot going on, easy to miss details. But this is an important one.

Biden could replace them both with members willing to fire the postmaster general. Let's hope he does just that.

https://prospect.org/politics/dejoys-continued-job-security-depends-on-bidens-next-move/

But wait, there's more:

Biden seeks to replace 2 Trump picks on USPS Board of Governors

President Joe Biden is naming two new nominees to serve on the Postal Service Board of Governors, replacing former President Donald Trump’s picks to help lead the agency.Biden on Friday submitted to the Senate his latest nominees to serve on the board: former head of the General Services Administration Dan Tangherlini and Derek Kan, a former deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget.

Biden’s nominees, if confirmed by the Senate, would replace USPS Board of Governors Chairman Ron Bloom and John Barger, a member of the board since August 2019.

If confirmed, Biden’s nominees would not change the political composition of the board, and would give Postmaster General Louis DeJoy an opportunity to remain on the job.

*snip*

The board currently has four Democrats, four Republicans, and one independent.

https://federalnewsnetwork.com/people/2021/11/biden-seeks-to-replace-2-trump-picks-on-usps-board-of-governors/

And more yet again:

THE MEMBERS WITH EXPIRING TERMS are William Zollars, a Republican, and Donald Lee Moak, a Democrat. Both were confirmed in June 2020 and both have terms that expire on December 8, 2022. Both Zollars and Moak have expressed support for DeJoy in the recent past.

https://prospect.org/politics/dejoys-continued-job-security-depends-on-bidens-next-move/

So all Biden needs to do is find 2 replacements who have expressed a lack of support for DeJoy, and then he's outta there, I hope!

9 members

5 of which have been appointed by Biden, 4 by trump.
currently 4 Dem, 4 rep, 1 independent

By my count this should be enough to initiate a leadership change, but I have not heard the president say he wants that.

2 more have terms expiring on dec 8 this year. I guess we will see what happens then.

However the fact that it has not happened even with a majority of Biden appointees, which also provides a a majority of Dem+dem appointed independents is making me wonder if this somehow got left off the priority list.
