The Poseidon reportedly creates a 1600' Radioactive Tsunami...

According to the newspaper, the key commands of the NATO member countries have received reports over the past few days regarding the movement of the nuclear submarine Belgorod, which can carry Poseidon torpedoes.
However, Western intelligence is convinced that (the submarine) did not go beyond the White Sea (in the north of Russia), the newspaper writes. In fact, it should next appear in the waters of the Arctic for a series of secret tests.
The main difference between the Belgorod and all other nuclear submarines in the world is its potential ability to carry Poseidon nuclear torpedoes, capable of traveling hundreds of miles under water and causing "nuclear tsunamis" by exploding near a coast.

Russias enormous nuclear submarine, the Belgorod that recently became operational, is about to undertake the first-ever test of Russias Poseidon nuclear torpedoes, according to a top-secret NATO report cited by an Italian media outlet.
The alarm stems from a NATO intelligence report, sent to the most important allied commands in recent days. The report concerns the movements of the Belgorod nuclear submarine, which became operational in July. Now shes back to dive in the Arctic seas, and it is feared that her mission is to test for the first time the super-torpedo Poseidon, often referred to as the weapon of the Apocalypse, reported la Repubblica.

I wish people were as committed to peace as they are committed to killing.

(45,356 posts)There are zero people on this website encouraging killing. Russia leaving Ukraine is the only path to peace.
Every day I see people promoting killing Russians of all ilk... civilian and military.
And Russians talk about killing Ukraine and the West...
Enough already.
One way or another... PEACE NOW.

The only other alternative is for the Russian people or generals to have Putin removed
From the very start of this, Putin has lied every step of the way. From the beginning when the U.S. was negotiating for peace with Putin, he assured everyone the troops massing at the border of Ukraine were only there for "military exercises". That was a lie, that was proven when his troops crossed into Ukraine and caused the immediate sanction against Russia, and sending defensive weapons to Ukraine, for Ukraine to fight the Russians with.
When Ukraine and Russia were in talks it was clear from the start that those negotiations were going no where, and Russia wanted nothing less than to occupy, and make Ukraine part of Russia. That was not negotiable as far as Ukraine was concerned.
The difference this time is I think many Russians know Putin has lied them into this war.
I suspect trump gave Putin carte blanche on Ukraine, and Putin's misjudgement that Ukraine would not fight for their sovereignty, brought him into the current situation.
The only thing that would be a game changer would be if Russia decided to use tactical nuclear weapons. While Putin loudly proclaims he is "not bluffing", I think they are well aware if they employed nuclear weapons in UKraine, that would involve a direct involvement of the U.S. and NATO in Ukraine against the Russians, and I believe that is the last thing Russia wants.

Did you know the US has had 32 "Broken Arrow" incidents since 1945?

I guess "nuclear tsunami" gets more clicks? Surely some sharks would get picked up by it, making it a "nuclear shark tsunami".
