Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsJust heard on Dean Obeidallah Show/XM that Mandela Barnes is running a
"chickenshit" campaign, I assumed the caller was a con, but it wasn't, the caller lives there and says he is incensed that the Barnes campaign is running feel good ads and not at all attacking Johnson for the vile piece of shit he is.
I dont want to believe this, but if it is true...
I mean, after all this, really? Anyone here live in WI and see the ads?
I am not saying he is running a chickenshit campaign, someone else said that, I am asking about it. But I am going to be really pissed if true.

I have not looked, can I guess that our guy is losing in the polls?
It wont work, it just wont.

(50,932 posts)This is disturbing. We need that seat, and he had a chance but is now slipping behind. In this year where republiQans have taken away our body autonomy, want to dismantle social security and back a disgusting mobster in his efforts to destroy our democracy.
Dammit. This is ridiculous.

Our actual lives are at stake.

(28,809 posts)The same was said about Biden.
Polls have showed both ahead by a few points or tied.
We dont have long to wait. But I say Barnes wins.

(11,683 posts)And enough soft-headed Wisconsinites are being suckered by it as the race has Johnson ahead. Sigh.

(16,829 posts)There are plenty of negative ads against Johnson. But since Johnson is running a "scary black man" campaign against Barnes, I think it would be really foolish for him to do direct attacks on Johnson.
I don't know who your guy is, but he doesn't know chickenshit about campaign ads.

(31,109 posts)First of all telling the truth about Johnson wouldnt be negative ads.
So I can just assume he will win, that I and others like me who think this is a mistake are wrong. We will see, if we are right though, it is life and death.

(907 posts)Barnes is letting others do the attacking. He does call them out as liars. But he might put a little more bite in some of his ads.

(18,122 posts)Northeastern Wisconsin here. All I get are negative ads against Barnes. There are so many issues to attack Johnson on, but I haven't seen any. All I've seen are feel good ads like him making peanut butter sandwiches. Barnes, or his supporters, need to attack Johnson on Social Security, Roe v Wade, Jan 6, Ties to Putin, tax cuts for the billionaires, etc. Barnes needs to flood the airwaves with attack ads against Johnson. They have worked for Johnson to overtake Barnes, and the will work for Barnes to get back into the lead

(25,914 posts)He seemed genuinely pissed off, or maybe hes a good voice actor. I was kinda preoccupied while he was on the air, so Id have to listen again. Whether that caller was a troll or legit, it would please me if the Barnes campaign went scorched earth on Johnson. Im not a political strategist, but I hope the good guys on our side are listening and take corrective actions.

(31,109 posts)If those who are lecturing me once again about how wrong I am, if they are wrong, this time the ramifications are just too much to deal with.
EYESORE 9001
(25,914 posts)I also believe that the Barnes campaign needs to pull out all the stops and get out the truth about Johnson in every ad going forward.
