Wanna end the Putin nuclear extortion?

Let NATO hint that to counter Russia's nuclear threats, Ukraine should get back some nukes of their own.

I know it's fraught with danger but Putin needs to be frightened and the Russian people need to be motivated to act against him?

No more House of Dragons, no more elections, Sizzlers or breastfeeding women... just poof and sterile planet.

Too many people are taking the threat lightly.

England, France and the US. Who should step up and provide the weapons?
What weapons should be given- tactical such as artillery and short range missiles or ICBMs?

If Russia uses a WMD of any kind, anything Russian flying in Ukraine dies. If Putin wants to get strategic, we can do that too. He won't go there.

Promised they wouldn't need them. Seems like we might have lied.
Give them back a few and let them decide whether to use them?

Ukrainian SSR were turned over to Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union. Ukraine has no capacity to monitor, mange or launch nuclear weapons. It also signed the Lisbon Protocol and has been a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty as a non-nuclear weapon state since 1994.

but Ukraine was promised protection .

"In 1994, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States signed the Budapest Memorandum, recommitting to obligations under the UN Charter to respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and to not use force against its territorial integrity or independence and re-stating their policy of not using nuclear weapons against non-nuclear-armed states, unless that state attacked them in partnership with a nuclear-armed state. The use of force or invasion of Ukraine would be in violation of this Memorandum, but first and foremost, of the UN Charter, on which the Memorandum is based."

All the nuclear NATO countries have ratified the Treaty and they would be in violation if they supplied Ukraine with weapons. Ukraine has ratified it and would be in violation if they accepted weapons.

At the very least, convene a NATO meeting to discuss arming Ukraine.
That alone might rein in Putin.
