Will the Pelosi attack push Karen Bass over the top?

Was thinking about the possible impacts of the Pelosi attack, and the surprisingly close LA mayor race comes to mind.

Will that rightwing violence sour voters on former Republican Caruso? I'm thinking it might.

Voters typically vote local issues, especially for mayor.

I think Karen Bass will win, despite the massive spending by Caruso in both the primary and the general.

talking about how they support him. He also says he is prochoice.

Hopefully Karen Bass will end up winning but Caruso isn't doing anything to turn off regular Democrats.

If the biggest concern on people's minds are local crime and homeless issues then that will help Caruso.

I think Caruso is well suited to fix the big city...

Occasionally I'll take the Amtrak South towards OC and there are areas where it looks like a 3rd World Country...

His policy page doesn't look like a GOP'er.

He claims that the current GOP left him...

His political "conversion" seem expedient to me.

And saying he will declare a "state of emergency" that would allow him to operate without input from the LA City Council sure looks like a GOP move to me.

It is the old "law and order" routine that provides cover for right-wingers.

I do not trust Rick Caruso.
