Did anyone see this on their ballots??

There were city, county and state positions.
On most of the positions there was a Libertarian option, along with Repub/Dem. candidates.

Never have seen this before. Even when there was no Dem. choice, there was the other 2.

Others, it's to give cover for Republicans to not vote for a Democrat. I'm extremely familiar with the tactic, but I don't know your local politics.

It could be good, but mostly in my experience it's not helped Democrats here.

No, I didn't see it.

When in Los Angeles, I'd see 4, 5, 6 parties on a ballot. In another place, one or two.

Politics are local. No conspiracy, not grand plan. Somebody qualifies for the local ballot, they qualify locally.
