but about as predicted by the pollsters.

I salute Beto for leading the Democratic ticket in Texas. He made a great effort, and is a hero for helping to build the Democratic party in Texas in this campaign.

I don't even know the name of another Democrat in Texas at the moment, but I live in Michigan...

my condolences to Texas Democrats.

Voter suppression does, but not enough to account for the margin projected...

Not the outcome of the governor's race in Texas. I was making a comparison that Texas and Florida are similar because they are both known for gerrymandering.

Most of the children killed were Latino. I grew up there and left over forty years ago. The place is still the same as it always has been. The good ole boy network still calls the shots. It’s truly sad and disgusting

I kept getting text messages this week encouraging me to vote for Abbot - and I don't even live in TX, and I wouldn't vote for the duplicitous slimeball if I did - telling me that my vote would count as long as I was in line to vote when the polls close.

That's how it's always been done.

Every polling station, nationwide, usually has someone to go out and establish where the line ends at the time the poll closes in that state.

If people got in line after that point, that's on the polling station for not doing their job. And, yes, the proper decision to make is that votes cast by anyone not in line on time but somehow voting anyway must be invalidated.

How it is.

How it's always been.
