Bribe him, kiss his ass, etc and he will jump through any hoops or bend over backwards to any degree imaginable.

But he won't do that for someone trying to take away something he wants. He would destroy everything, including his own chances of having the thing, before he concedes it to the challenger.

Trump has immensely greater power in this struggle than his Republican opponents and would be opponents. Trump could leave the Republican Party truly doomed if he so chose.

I'd rather face trump. And if he does decide to run again (sounds like that's what 11/15 is), he'll obliterate anybody who tries to jump into a primary, including fl a*shole.

I know he hates losing. I don't think it was so much not being president that would have bothered
him (2016) or did bother him (2020), it's losing. He hates being a loser.

I just don't see him giving up the limelight of being THE person on that side of the aisle. The only way I could remotely see it is if he gave fl a*shole his blessing/endorsement and went out running around the country for him. And I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell of that happening.
