1) His birth certificate that he has released in several forms.

2) Golfing and playing basketball

3) The White House Christmas card

4) Not going to church - when actually he does!
For a LIST of churches President Obama has attended see here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002173608

5) His decision to accept the gift of a non-allergenic dog from Senator Ted Kennedy

6) Taking his wife out on date night

7) Smoking. President Obama quit smoking long ago, but even if he hadn't cigarettes are a LEGAL product in The USA

Etc, etc, etc.

There are too many to remember and to list

Was forewarning of things to come was the freak out over him addressing the school kids on the first day of school his first year. That dust up was despicable and disgusting, and showed the Obama admin how things were going to be in their future. Why they didn't plan for the right-winger/haters better with better messaging I don't know. They knew what was going to be coming down the tracks for them the whole time in office.

I think the positive to come out of it was how it exposed hate motivated christofascist aryanists for what they are early in the game. Anyone short of the most bigoted extreme morons could see for themselves what pukes their neighbors were over that one.

Every piece of steaming crap that drops out of their face-holes makes the growing mountain of reich-wing sewage more obvious.

thing had to be the stupidest one I've ever heard. If you have to criticize someone for having a picture of their dog on the front of their Christmas card just to get attention, you just aren't relevant and anyone who reports such criticism should be ashamed of promoting such stupidity, childishness and petty behavior in the media.

Jan 2012

"FIRST LOOK By MIKE ALLEN | 01/15/12 12:37 PM EDT

... President Obama is on Newsweeks cover, 'Why Are Obama's Critics So Dumb? Andrew Sullivan on the man with a plan': 't remains simply a fact that Obama has delivered in a way that the unhinged right and purist left have yet to understand or absorb.

Their short-term outbursts have missed Obamas long game.... [T]he president begins by extending a hand to his opponents; when they respond by raising a fist, he demonstrates that they are the source of the problem; then, finally, he moves to his preferred position of moderate liberalism and fights for it without being effectively tarred as an ideologue or a divider.

This kind of strategy takes time. And it means there are long stretches when Obama seems incapable of defending himself, or willing to let others to define him, or simply weak. I remember those stretches during the campaign against Hillary Clinton. I also remember whose strategy won out in the end.'"

Microscopically dissecting every move and every thought, every day, every hour--of Obama, of every politician, of every pundit, of every blogger-- makes it easy to freak out and difficult to consider a long term view.

The more people can learn to think in the long term, the better off we'd be (for ourselves--and in the long-term, for everyone else as well)

not dumb, they believe others are. They never supported Obama and others use anti-Obama sentinments as a promotional tool. Any and every distortion is repeated over and over.

I've seen posts correcting egregious distortions leveled at Republicans. Obama vociferous critics don't care about debunked claims. They build on them.

31. So let me get this straight
Mon Jan 16, 2012, 01:45 PM
Jan 2012

Obama is a Kenyan, Indonesian, terrorist, but somehow he got elected to Congress without being a citizen even though there is ample proof he was born in Hawaii?
He hates White People even though he is half white?
He's a rabid Socialist who happens to support Wall Street too much?
He hates our troops, but he's brought them home from Iraq while giving them the resources they needed to finally get the job done in Afghanistan?
He appeases the terrorists at the same time he's killed 22 of their top 30 including Bin Laden?
He's a flaming Liberal at the same time he's cut taxes and shrunk the government?

Did I miss anything? The criticisms of Obama by the Right are laughable not only in the grandeur, but it the way they contradict each other. Obama cannot be a Socialist and stock his cabinet with Wall Street lackies. He cannot be a far left Liberal and cut taxes. These idiots on the Right don't stop to listen to themselves most of the time.

32. Matthew White has a Chapter on the American Civil War in his book:
Mon Jan 16, 2012, 02:00 PM
Jan 2012

"The Great Big Book of Horrible Things: The Definitive Chronicle of History’s 100 Worst Atrocities”

In that chapter, he describes the rift between two visions of America, one defined by Nationality and one defined by Ideology.

The Nationalists would never accept Obama, never, regardless of how hard core they may be. The hard core Ideologues are annoyed at a lack of purity.

Blind adherence to anything is going to result in some degree of stupidity.........
