I know Walker is a moron and all, but I don’t think people understand how big a folk hero he was as an athlete. This was the greatest sports hero ever from Georgia, he’s a legend and that’s why he came close to winning.

But they realized he had no business being the county dog catcher much less Senator.

10. I'm a longtime UGA fan

I had an autographed picture of Walker from his college days - my little sister mailed him and asked if he could autograph a picture for me for a Christmas gift. But I took it down the moment he outed as a Trump supporter. I asked her recently if she’d have any objections to me ripping it up and she said hell no, so the next time I run across it, it’s gone. I also have taken down a lot of the 1980 national championship stuff, too, as I stopped respecting Dooley for campaigning for Trump and then Walker.

One of the things I liked best about last year’s national championship was that it had nothing to do with Walker or Dooley. And if we repeat, it will mean that the greatest era of UGA football is today, rather than the 80’s.

There are many of us who are ashamed of him.
