So he can give them Vlad's marching orders in an idiom they're more comfortable with?

I am sure that Hannity thinks that he can help Republicans get some "message discipline". The problem is that in reality, the Conservative message is shit, and while you can flower it up along the edges, the mask is off and the extremists really think they have won because everyone "loves" their ideas. They are all over the place and are just spewing shit and the American people are noticing that a bunch of idiots were just elected to the House on the Republican side.

Hannity is there to try to put a spin on it and to tell Republicans that they need to go back to dog whistles, but he will likely be rebuffed or dismissed and the shit show will continue.

Why he hasn't been thrown in jail or subpoena'd is absolute insanity. Hannity and Tucker know something that we don't about what the ultimate goal of Jan. 6th was. It still boggles my mind what Fox News' role in that whole thing was. What were they planning to report on if they had succeeded that day? That seems like something worth knowing.

I suppose it is a matter of temperament and upbringing, but Conservative messaging and policy (when it existed) never appealed to me. It always seemed geared only toward the rich and White men in particular, with some religious bigotry thrown in for good measure.

The whole, "small government" thing always seemed like a lie. The size of government was never the problem it is the function that they want to change. Liberals want government to be the entity which stands against the excesses of the more powerful. Conservatives want government to impose the will of the most powerful or at least to get out of the way while to powerful impose their will.

The "family values" thing is just code for "We don't like women, LGBTQ people, or poor people", especially when you have all kinds of Conservatives having affairs, forcing mistresses to get abortions, molesting children, hitting their partners, and other decidedly "non-family" activities.

They do stink

We got a taste of what that was like under Trump. Fuck Trump called into Hannity and Tucker like daily. Imagine what would happen if Fox got a hold of the House and Senate, and elected a willing stooge like Ron DeSantis. They're already pulling his strings at the state level. That's a truly scary thought.
