(10,868 posts)I think there would already be some kind of indictment against Trump.

(21,280 posts)we don't know what we don't know that Garland is or isn't doing. Let's give him (Jack Smith) another 4 or 5 months. Oh wait we do know what Smith is doing, we even know who he is sending subpoenas to. That Jack Smith must be a real leaker?

aware the NY investigation went on for over 2 and a half years? The investigation started in March 2020 and finally got to trial October 2022. That was the DA civil case. The Manhattan case is still out there. What were you saying again about the DOJ?

(757 posts)and when we're left dangling AGAIN after (surely Garland must know) the Robert Mueller fiasco, the silence, the
hope, the failure, the poor testimony that left people wondering about his mental status. Mueller was (we all were) broadsided by Bill Barr/the Republicans.
We got to know Preet from his appearances on tee vee, explaining legal situations at the time, he seemed approachable, reliable, straight-forward, firm on the "law applies to everyone."
I realize the DOJ wants to work in silent/secret, but if we just get clues from Garlands actions - they say "fear of Republicans."
