The community organizer organized a community

It has been a long time coming. I remember when Reagan opened his 1980 campaign in Philadelphia, MS and declared states rights and from that point on I despised him. Inevitably, though this is what has killed the republican party but it took 30 years. Reagan also invited the christian right and the seeds of their demise was planted. Even though Clinton was elected the world stayed the same. He attracted many people but he never received 50% of the vote. White people were 87% of the voting population in 1992. Gore and Kerry were terrible candidates and finally someone came along who was young and vibrant and understood and related to a new generation.

Demographics have changed and Axelrod,Plouffe and Messina understood the new technology and the new social media. They built a party and a campaign that spoke to the new people and excited them. It is now 2 elections that they have captured the youth, women, Asians, Hispanics and of course the African Americans(old reliable because that all know the southern republicans still wished Jim Crow still existed). If we get these groups to vote a third time the repubs are done for a long time.

The repubs will be a small regional party. It is truly ironic that the "community organizer&quot as repubs so derisively called Obama) organized a community for the long haul. Obama wants to be a transformational president. Reagan transformed us into a greedy, non caring selfish country and Obama wants us to care about all. A welcome change.

The North and intelligence are winning. Notice that the repubs have all the states that historically never valued education.

The GOP relies on ignorance. That's why they hate education. Educated people vote for Dems. HopeHoops Nov 2012 #2

It has to survive a primary season and be able to heal those wounds to be able to be effective in the future. When it can do that, we can end the republican/tea party forever.

Obama it's taking the popular route in ridiculing Gore and Kerry just to make him look good.

They, especially Kerry helped play crucial roles in getting him elected along with those (i.e. Cutter) who were from the 04 team.

Sorry, they both have President Obama's ear whether you and people like it or not.
