I'm sicker today than during Covid-19... twice.

Seeing online there appears to be a virulent chest-cold going around, at least in SoCal...

Bronchitis-like symptoms... coughing up crud.

Anyone heard anything?

EDIT: 3 negative COVID tests.

through the final stages of this RSV/flu. Do you have a fever or not?

but my school's principal wouldn't let me take sick days since there was a substitute shortage. I had a cold that had turned into pneumonia and my doctor said I could take off 3 days and gave me a note. Two days later I had to go to the hospital due to loss of enormous amounts of blood (a weird side effect of pneumonia).

If you have to go to work take off until you feel better!!!

For a few days, I never felt sicker before and then the coughing comes. That seems to go around everywhere.
A coworker mentioned that it comes from the bronchia, that's why the usual cough medicine doesn't help at all. Like others already said here, it's really persistent and can last weeks before it goes away.

Northern Nevada here..definitely a chest cold/virus thingy going around. I’m just getting over it two weeks later. Coughing up a bunch of crud… A friend got it the same time I did. We have the exact same symptoms.

Started with a dry cough, then a fever, and then a big ol’ chest cold.

to show up positive. Not saying that is the case, but confirming with the PCR test would be a good confirmation if it hasn't been done.

That being said, there are a lot of bugs out there that are going around, and it could very likely be something else.

It is still a good idea to wear a mask when out in public, not just for Covid

It started 12Feb, and the cruddy cough is finally mostly gone. My first thought was COVID, but I tested negative four days in a row.

Coughing up yellowy green crud from my chest, sinuses were swollen but anything I managed to blow out was clear. Had a low fever for a few days and did several covid tests. All negative. It lasted two and half weeks.

I hope you feel better soon.
